Objectives
The objectives of the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education of Universitas Tanjungpura are compiled by considering the development and dynamics of science and the complexity of the current professional world. In runic, the objectives of the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education are as follows:
- Producing education graduates with qualifications and competencies as biology educators who are noble, adaptive, creative, and innovative in developing science and information technology.
- Producing education graduates who can solve problems in biology and biology education through research activities that contribute to the development of science and technology.
- Producing education graduates who can conduct community service to solve biological and biological education problems by applying science and technology with an environmental perspective.
Bachelor Programme History
Bachelor Programme of Biology Education is one of the degree programmes under the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Tanjungpura. The opening of the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education is a realisation to answer the needs of biology teachers in West Kalimantan Province.
2003 Program studi Pendidikan Biologi didirikan berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No.178/D/T/2003. Izin penyelenggaraan Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi dimulai sejak 30 Januari 2003.
2007 Through the Decree of Operational Permittance No. 3000/D/T/2007, dated on October 11, 2007, the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education was officially and legally obtained an operational permit.
2008 Based on the Decree of National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi, BAN-PT) No. 12/BAN-PT/Ak-XI/S1/I/2008, the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education is accredited as rank C. The accreditation was valid for 5 (five) years, from June 28, 2008 to June 28, 2013.
2014 Prodi Pendidikan Biologi diakreditasi lagi oleh BANPT pada tahun 2014. Berdasarkan keputusan BAN-PT No. 348/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2014 prodi Pendidikan Biologi mendapatkan peringkat C. Sertifikat akreditasi program studi berlaku sejak tanggal 30 Agustus 2014 sampai dengan 29 Agustus 2019.
2016 The Bachelor Programme of Biology Education proposed accreditation again to BAN-PT in 2016. Based on the Decree of BAN-PT No. 0276/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/IV/2016, the Bachelor Programme in Biology Education is accredited as rank B, which is valid from April 21, 2016 to April 21, 2021.
2021 Based on the Decree of BAN-PT No. 2306/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/IV/2021, the Bachelor Programme of Biology Education is accredited as rank B. The accreditation certificate is valid for 5 (five) years, from April 22, 2021 to April 22, 2026.
